One way to entice my DH to join me in viewing fibre arts is to encourage him to play with his gadgets. While I ooohed and aaahed over the works of art, he took a time-lapse video of the displays. There were only a couple of rooms to visit (the rest of the rooms featured paintings) so he held up quite well.
