A Really Big Sandwich

I spent the day with some members from our local guild.  Once in a while on Fridays, we share a full day of cutting, piecing, quilting, and chatting.  It is my favourite way to spend a Friday.

I had planned on drawing feathers (Diane Gaudynski style) for several more days before trying them on fabric, but she recommends practicing on real pieces, so I relented.  It felt good.  I do believe that by the time I have finished quilting the entire top, I will feel quite confident.  Who knows, maybe I will attack a whole cloth quilt at some point.

The front.

The back.

This quilt sample is about 60 inches square.  That should provide plenty of practice.

    1. Thank you Tammy. At this rate, we will be feather masters by the end of the year. We'll be drawing them in our sleep.
