Folk Art Quilts at Crawford's Farm

These folk arts quilts looked right at home in this farm setting.  They are so welcoming.  Some were made with felt, some with wool, and some with homespuns.
An adorable fall table topper.
That dark background fabric is so effective.
Here's a close up of a block.
Close-up of the quilting.
Nice variety in the background fabrics.
The talented maker!
How appropriate is this for a farm setting.
The colour choices and applique are amazing.
This pattern really appeals to me.
Dark background with muted golds, greens, and blues.  Love it!
Paulette made several of the quilts at the show.  She is so skilled at piecing and applique.
Recognize this person's name again?  Such tiny pieces.  WOW!
I haven't yet tackled an applique quilt.  I love the way the wool looks with the blanket stitch.  Maybe this winter.  Certainly not this summer.  Temperatures will be in the 30s this week.  I'm Wilting!
